Busy Book - Privacy Policy
Privacy policy for Busy Book, made by The Mask Apothecary. Last updated 7 September 2026.
The short version: the developer of Busy Book collects nothing about you, runs no servers, and never sees your data. The longer version is below, and it says the same thing.
What we collect
Nothing. Busy Book has no accounts, no sign-in and no server run by the developer. Your calendar, lists, medicines, journal, budgets and everything else you put in the app are stored on your own device, and on your own iCloud if you turn sync on. The developer has no way to read them, and no copy of them exists anywhere the developer can reach.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party code or services. It does not profile you and it does not phone home.
iCloud sync, if you choose to use it
iCloud sync is optional, one toggle, and entirely under your control. When you turn it on, data travels only between your own devices and your own iCloud, protected in transit and at rest by Apple. There is no server of ours in between: the developer does not run one, cannot see it, and never receives any of the data that passes through it. If you never turn sync on, nothing ever leaves your device.
Sharing with your household
If you share a book with someone, the shared parts travel between your iCloud and theirs through Apple's own sharing, never through us. Anything you mark private stays on your own devices.
Your phone's calendars
If you bring in your phone's calendars from Me > Calendars, Busy Book reads them, with the operating system's own permission prompt, to show them alongside everything else. It never changes them and never sends them anywhere; the connection is read only, on your device, always.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer receives no payment details and no personal information from your purchase. Apple's handling of that is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Support email
If you email support, your email address and message are used only to help you. They are never added to a mailing list, shared or sold.
Deleting your data
You can export or delete everything on a device yourself at any time from the Me screen. If iCloud sync was on, the copy in your own iCloud is yours to delete too, from the iPhone Settings app > your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > Busy Book.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data an organisation holds about you. The developer of Busy Book holds none: there is nothing to access, correct, delete or port on the developer's side. If you believe something here is wrong, or you have any question about this policy, email info@themaskapothecary.com and you will get a straight answer.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change. The promise not to collect your data is the foundation of the app, not a version note.
